This festival ended up being a nightmare! we went down on the Wednesday, and had good fun alternating between getting drunk and eating junk food at the festival, and getting drunk and eating junk food at a nearby town. Great time, watched a few bands on the Friday, had great fun on the fairground rides, got more drunk, had great laughs.
On the Saturday, I was looking forward to seeing some of my favourite bands perform and watching the football on a big screen. Which is where the trouble started!
There was literally tens of thousands of people all crowding round the big screen at 2:00pm on Saturday afternoon, watching the football. We arrived at the screen slightly later than everyone else so we had a really bad view and we were behind a big sign blocking our view.
So, a few good Samaritan festival goers, including myself decided to take it upon ourselves to tear this sign down, purely to help the hundreds of people behind it to see the football. So there’s me, climbing up this massive sign on scaffolding poles ripping it off, when...
I get arrested, fined £80 for "criminal damage" and booted out of the festival, leaving me to make my own way home on the Saturday, which meant I missed all my fave bands, and a full day of the festival. Plus I had to pay an absolute bomb to get home on my own as the lad who was giving me a lift had to stay at the fest!
What a crime eh, tearing down giant signs about skateboarding (which no one is interested in anyway) to help English people watch world cup football. Honestly, "Police" are really stubborn, childish, heartless, bastards. They have no respect for peoples wellbeing, as they booted me out of the fest with no money, nowhere near a town, and with no transport home.
So I end up having to get a taxi to Derby, (£35) to get to a decent train station, and then £45 to get a train home, and at the end of my 5 hour journey home, I got a bastarding fine to pay, just to add insult to injury!
Not to worry, I'll make up for it next year!

Here is my fine!
This is what the so called "police" issued me with, before they booted me out of the festival for trying to help people watch football. The stubborn little childish bastards.
